Rosso Ramina – Since 2010 – About

federica e stefano

RossoRamina is an Italian Ceramic Workshop that stands out for making the useful beautiful, giving both functional and poetic value to tableware collections, home accessories, and lighting. RossoRamina was born from the synergy of two young creatives, Stefano Gambogi and Federica Cipriani – “the arm and the hand”.

All items are designed and produced directly and exclusively by us.

Federica Cipriani

My journey into the art of ceramics began thanks to meeting Stefano Gambogi, who introduced me to the joy of creating with clay and embracing the magic of transformation.

My path is connected to drawing and making, probably inspired by a never-met uncle with a passion for the arts and a mother who shared the same passion.

Stefano Gambogi

Since I was a child, I preferred exploring the woods to playing football, observing the countless shades of the surrounding countryside.

Later, I learned ceramic techniques, but above all, I began creating my own Object on the wheel, in that continuous metamorphosis of form, seeking what exists in my mind.

Our range of vases is wide and ever-evolving, from small single-flower vases, adding a touch of poetry to a table or serving as an exclusive favor for a special day, to large spherical vases that act as statement decor pieces for significant spaces.

            Lighting

The Luce line, almost entirely characterized by the pierced (traforato) technique, includes: pendant lamps, one or more elements made with a special ceramic mixture (paperclay) that allows us to work on large forms with a lightweight result – wall lamps, cylindrical and shell-shaped – table lamps in various sizes, which can serve as vases by day and lamps by night – and unique floor lamps.

              Sinks

Created according to specific needs and tastes, in collaboration with architects or private clients we craft personalized and unique pieces, for example incorporating the flowers and fruits of a client’s garden into the sink’s decoration. Our sinks are made with a more durable ceramic mixture and fired at high temperatures.

                Fabrics

Ceramic-inspired designs are transferred onto linens and cottons, enriching our tableware and bathroom collections.

                  2010-2011 – Majolica
Of varying shapes and sizes, they are all unique pieces. Each one is a world, painted both inside and out, or shaped on the lid which becomes a fountain animated with fish, or even a garden with a few little birds.

                  Homage to Cezanne

                  2007 – Majolica
This is the first sculpture in a series inspired by the still lifes of 20th-century artists.

                  Impossible Dinner

                  2006 – Painted terracotta
A sculpture representing everyday reality, a set table, yet diverging from it through its unusual proportions (20 x 10 cm) and its metaphysical whiteness.

                  Maternity

                  (2011) Sewn majolica tiles
Born from the need to narrate my experience of motherhood, a story told in episodes meticulously stitched across a series of tiles. It begins with the Annunciation by the little bird Pio Pio, followed in “Lucciola” by the account of my son Lucio’s first days in the incubator, preparing for the big debut…

                  i fiori di fede

                  Fede’s Flowers

                  2009-2011 – Glazed majolica
We often associate flowers with life’s most important moments, from birth to death; their fragile nature reflects our fleeting existence. I have “captured” them on small boxes designed as holders for significant rings, as well as in large bowls and in unexpected chandeliers.

                  Le radici di un paese

                  The Roots of a Village

                  2006 – Terracotta
The feet represent our roots, just as the inhabitants of the village where I was born (just over 300 souls) are the roots of the village itself. The idea for this project stemmed from the desire to animate an entire village, giving it a playful face: a village populated by feet, terracotta foot-vases made from casts of the villagers’ feet and installed in the square and on windowsills, acting as totemic guardians of each home.
